About San Juan Miniatures

We are relatively new to the miniature horse scene but we have always had

big horses and while we still like them, these little guys have stolen our

hearts!!! We started with one that was just going to be a pet and as many know,

you can't have just one! These little horses are addictive! If we had known how

much joy and fun these little creatures were before now, we would have had them

when our kids were growing up! These are great animals when they are bred,

handled and raised responsibly.

We are located in Montrose, Colorado and we have the beautiful San Juan

Mountains to our south, hence the name!! Our goal is to breed and raise top

quality registered miniatures with great confirmation, bloodlines and

temperament. Most of our horses are AMHA/AMHR registered and we are

getting the paints registered with the Pinto Association as well. We have a wide

range of colors, including cremellos, palominos, bays, roans, buckskin, dun and paints

of various colors. Our horses are up to date on shots, including West Nile, health

and hoof care. They are handled almost daily and are people oriented. We have a

number of foals expected each year and if you would like to be notified when they

have arrived, please just drop us an email and we will put you on our notification

list. We will sell a few horses each year but if you should see something that you

like, please inquire. We will consider all reasonable offers. Please feel free to contact
